just enquiring as to now in 2017 are your big block chevy aluminium blocks more hassle free for street use or is ring seal and fastener torquing still an issue. can i use this block every day and not spend my time working on it. it will be a 4.750 stroke tall deck with 10.1 compression about 1000 hp with maybe a 250 shot nos.632 cid.and why is it that the production ls engines dont have any problems and some are pretty high in hp.is it the alloy used that is a secret at gm.would love this block but not if its not maintenance free.the billet is not an option to much money for the street.thanks.
